The Conscious Living Series: Part 6: Face Your Fears (By Yaz Rooney)

Why are you not manifesting the life that you want? Reason number 4 is, you are not willing to face your fears.

If you want a certain type of career, but don’t follow it because you fear you don’t have what it takes to pass the degree course, then you are not facing your fears head on. If you want to travel, but refuse to do anything about your fear of flying, then you’re not facing up to it. If your partner is bullying and degrades you, yet you tell yourself continuously that you cannot make it on your own, then you are not facing your fears.

Often, we do not get the things we want, because to do so, we have to face certain fears and move past them. This can be very daunting for a lot of people. It’s often a lot easier to tell ourselves that something just can’t be done. If we are with that bullying partner, we might make a ton of excuses to avoid facing our fears. Perhaps we’ll tell ourselves that we haven’t got any skills, or that the children are too young to deal with a divorce, or that our partner wouldn’t be that way if it wasn’t for our own inadequacies. Sometimes it’s just easier to lie to ourselves than deal with our fears.

Our fears are roadblocks in the journey through life, but all roadblocks are moveable. For sure, some are easier to deal with than others, but if you want something badly enough, you have to be ready to tackle those fears. You have to sit down and work through them. It might be enough to use the Mirrors Work on these courses, or they might require a bigger intervention such as visits to a psychologist. Whatever the level of your fear, if you want something desperately enough, you will fight to get past it. If you don’t fight, you will be stuck right where you are.

The journey of life is a tricky one. We are all filled with some very deep desires, desires for things and situations that we feel will make us happy. Those desires are what drive us towards transformation. It is a method that the universe uses to empower us; we desire something so much, we are willing to embrace change. We seek love so that we can measure and increase our own ability to love. We seek money and position so that we can measure and increase our courage to face our fears. In most situations of life, we are confronting our positive and negative characteristics. It is all purposeful; nothing happens by chance.

Sometimes it is just SO difficult to face your fears, but you shouldn’t use that as an excuse, not if you want something badly enough. Even if you do not feel ready to face things, you should always bear in mind that the challenges will arise again, the next time you want to create your intended manifestation. It might be useful to weigh up the pros and cons of deferring the challenges to a later date. Do you really want to waste your life waiting when you could take a deep breath and dive in right now?
